Old Maryland Farm, Upper Marlboro MD

Old Maryland Farm located in Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro, MD is an educational farm facility that features exhibits and displays designed to familiarize the public with the farming experience.

While visiting Old Maryland Farms check out all the other fun activities located in Watkins Regional Park, including the carousel, miniature golf course, and the miniature train.

Costs to ride the carousel and the train were $1.25 for residents of Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties.  The train rides through a the farm and offers good views of the cows, donkeys, ducks, and llamas.

The other side of the park features a huge playground.  There is well maintained equipment that is suitable for ages 2-12.

There are also tennis courts, baseball fields, and picnic areas.

Watkins Park is very centrally located and is easily accessible to people who live in the communties of Oak Creek and Perrywood, as well as any one in the Upper Marlboro, Mitchellville, Largo, and South Bowie areas.

The Farm offers different activities throughout the year including “Wool & Fiber Day” in April  ”Halloween on the Farm” in October which will feature costume contests, crafts, cider, & cookies.
